Costume Analysis of Four Films Set in 1912-1914

Each lesson the student will be given an assignment to watch the film between the days Monday - Wednesday. The student will be given certain costumes or scenes to watch for a lecture and discussion from Thursday through Sunday.

Each lesson the following will be discussed about the costumes in that week's film.

  • Costume Designer
  • Principal Characters
  • Color Themes
  • Setting
  • Year of production VS Year of setting in costumes
    •  The four films are as follows:
  • Lesson 1: Somewhere in Time- film setting 1912
  • Lesson 2: Titanic- film setting 1912
  • Lesson 3: Music Man- film setting 1912
  • Lesson 4: My Fair Lady- film setting 1914
