Syllabus

 Week One

  • What is the Regency/Empire/Directoire period

  • Where and by whom were the plates published by

  • Looking at what kinds of details will identify the time period and publisher of unknown prints

 Week Two

  • Identifying fashion using fashion plates from 1800-1809

 Week Three

  • Identifying fashion using fashion plates from 1810-1819

Week Four

  • Identifying fashion using fashion plates from 1820-1829
  • Looking at some “mystery” prints and identifying them with what we have learned
