King Felix Robe's Train: Full Length
2009 King Felix III Court Costume
Thomas Forress Rayford Jr. and Louise Vass McClelland
Mobile Carnival Association

  • Train Description:
The 18-foot-long, 9-foot-wide red silk velvet train was made by Maggie Outsey Johnson of Eternal Elegance Inc. It is edged with white rabbit fur with dark brown mink insets. The Hay Ancient silk tartan forms an inner frame. Gold seed bead applique trim bordered by pheasant feathers forms a secondary border.

The Swarovski crystals that border his initials represent his father's birthday. The letters TFR are in hunter green, to reflect his interest in deer hunting and fresh and saltwater fishing. A jewel-encrusted cross representing the Christian religion is one of the ornaments hanging from several ropes covered in shirred gold lame hanging down the back.
