Costume Description: This costume a loose Sack style jacket belted in at the waist, with small ruffled epaulets on the coat style sleeves. The look is high waisted and round (popular for this era) and is finished off by a white collar and ribbon necktie.The length of the shoulder seam is nearly that of an earlier period (Civil War), instead of being just slightly off the shoulder as most dresses of this era. Her small flat hat appears to be straw trimmed in velvet.
