Fashion Date:Circa 1908-1914
Costume Description: We are giving a broader span on the fashion date because of little amount of costume shown in the photo. The large bow in her hair was fashionable during these years. Her dress does appear to have some inserts of lace on the chest and sleeves. The dress also has zigzag lace edging on the neckline.
Hairstyle Description:This little girl is so cute with her extremely long sausage curls / ringlets. My daughter has sported her hair in sausage curls at this length. So I can tell you from experience, that this child's hair is at least hip length. Although this style is cute in photographs, it is not that becoming in person. The curls are too long and from ten feet away, the curls look like dreadlocks. If the child's hair is naturally curly, as my daughter hair is, they will lock after a day.
This child's needs to have some natural curl to it to achieve this style. Straight hair can not hold the weight of the curls very long.
