Lifetime (1853-1929)

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
During 1860s, worked as a tailor of Isle of Wight.
1871: Expanded his business to selling mourning dresses and silks.
1879: Redfern created a costume for Lillie Langtry aka, the Jersey Lily.
1881: Established businesses in Paris and London.
1885: Redfern focused on making yachting suits, riding habits, and traveling suits.
1888: He was appointed the dressmaker to Queen Victoria.
1908: Popularized the Grecian style dresses.
1916: Designed the first women's uniform for the Red Cross.
1920s: Closed his fashion houses.
